We are very excited to announce a new Tutu Puoane album!
It’s been a while since she last released original music, but this next project is bound to make up for that for sure.
New songs based on beautiful poems of the great South African writer/artist Lebogang Mashile will be recorded in July 2023 with her band featuring Ewout Pierreux (piano), Clemens van der Feen (bass) and Dré Pallemaerts (drums). The album will be produced by Larry Klein.
Here’s a small clip from a pre-production rehearsal/recording session. The poem the song is based on is called My Kind.
To be released in the first months of 2024 – digitally, on CD and on vinyl.
